WHO WE ARE
PPLE was created to bring together three patient engagement consulting capabilities that rarely exist under one roof: health psychology, operational experience, and technology leadership.
Our founder, Jessica Lens MSc., brings 15 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing engagement, adherence, and support programs within the biopharma space. That background gives us a practical understanding of what truly makes engagement work and how executing partners can excel and adopt a real-world view of the patient. PPLE was founded to integrate all of that into one practical, end-to-end consulting partner. One that can think strategically, execute reliably, and design solutions that are human-centered from the start.
We support a wide range of disease areas, with experience across rare, specialty, and chronic conditions. We are located in the Greater Boston area and collaborate with clients across the U.S. and globally.
Jessica Lens holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Tilburg University and began her career as a psychologist in the Netherlands. After relocating to the United States in 2010, she started in the biopharma patient services industry and helped shape one of the industry’s pioneering, adherence-only companies, Human Care Systems - defining program strategy, redesigning technology, training clinical teams, and leading operations and product in executive roles. Following the company’s acquisition in 2022, she joined CareMetx as Chief Patient Experience Officer, overseeing the patient engagement product line and CRM strategy.
PPLE represents the four disciplines central to Jessica’s work: Psychology, Product management, Leadership, and Execution. Today, Jessica brings these together as Principal Consultant at PPLE, helping biopharma teams adopt a real-world-patient mindset and create experiences that help people start and stay on therapy.
